I am Gregory May.

I am an accredited  member of the  NCPS – National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society and a registered member of the BACP – British Association For Counselling & Psychotherapy.  As such I am bound by their respective codes of conduct and ethics. I also adhere to their Codes of Confidentiality and Data Protection.  I have a current registered enhanced  DBS Certification.  My approach is integrative, drawing from evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, person-centred and psychodynamic.  I have vast experience in drug and alcohol addiction and a strong interest in trauma, shame, anger and  attachment theory.  I continue to focus my research on addiction, trauma and the nervous system, shame and attachment styles. I am committed to helping individuals find clarity, focus and the tools that  we can use for emotional regulation.
